Iron Foundation sponsor Wrexham game in celebration of rebrand
The Iron Foundation is delighted to announce a rebrand which will see us continue the tremendous work we do within a community, but under a new umbrella.
The move sees the Iron Foundation welcomed to Glanford Park as match sponsors for the home league encounter against Wrexham on Wednesday, November 9th.
After beginning as Football in the Community in the early-1990s, we transitioned to Scunthorpe United Community Sport and Education Trust in 2008 following the dissolution of the national FITC charity.
We are now taking the next step in our journey and are taking on the Iron Foundation brand, which we’ve been working hard to execute over the last weeks and months.
The remit of the Iron Foundation is to use the power of football as the catalyst to enact positive change within our local community. Operating under four key themes; Education, Sports Participation, Health and Social Inclusion, we aim to offer enjoyable and worthwhile activities to the largest possible cross-section of our community.
The vision of the Iron Foundation is to be recognised as a leader in developing and delivering provision for sport, education, health and community engagement. The mission of the Iron Foundation is to use the power of football and Scunthorpe United Football Club to improve the lives of the people of North Lincolnshire through engagement in sport and physical activity.
Since 2015, Scott Maxfield has managed the organisation who continually drives and increases the good work the Foundation is doing in the local community by improving and expanding upon our already multi-faceted delivery of activities.
