The Walking Football Cup…

The EFL Trust runs the Walking Football Cup every year around May and June. EFL Clubs through their community trust each hold a local competition. The winners then represent their club and play in their official colours at a regional level.  The top two in each region then qualify for the finals which was last year played at Aston Villa’s training ground.

This competition follows on from the success and increased turn-out at the Walking Football events up and down the country.

We are delighted to provide this opportunity for teams to compete for the Walking Football Cup.

Walking Football has seen a huge growth in Lincolnshire and this will provide further opportunities for individuals to participate more competitively.

  • "The social and health benefits that walking football has for participants are massive; 82% of participants believe that their health has improved by playing walking football.

We want to use the power of professional clubs to help grow the game and ensure these benefits are spread far and wide."
